Your time with City Year could be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

You will gain in-depth experience working with children and young people and serve alongside inspiring teaching staff and excellent head teachers.

You will grow as an individual by working in some of the most challenging schools in London.

You will develop skills and experiences that can be transferred into any future career, such as communication, organisation and leadership skills.

You will meet new friends and be introduced to professional networks through our Life After City Year programme.

Practical benefits include:

    • In-depth experience working with children and young people;
    • Mentoring support from an employee of one of our partners;
    • The Life After City Year programme – one day per week dedicated to your development throughout the year;
    • £100 per week for expenses and subsistence costs, plus any travel expenses for City Year activity;
    • Eligibility for a Citizen Service Award of up to £1000;
    • Free uniform, including t-shirts, trousers, boots, and our iconic red jacket;
