What Are Community Action Days?

At City Year London, we dedicate one team of corps members to engaging the community. This team, the ARAMARK Civic Engagement Team, primarily creates projects to transform schools, parks and other locations that are shared by the community. Their aims are to make these places brighter and more cheerful, but also to bring real benefits to the users of the site. They engage teams of volunteers from outside of City Year to showcase some of the work we do and to inspire people to give back to their communities.

One thing that first struck me about Devonshire Hill was their vast amount of outside space. They have a massive field as well as two playgrounds and a vegetable patch.
