Girls4Tech with Mastercard
Ahead of the International Day of the Girl, we had an incredible day with 30 Year 7 girls from our partner school, Duke’s Aldridge Academy, visiting the Mastercard UK offices for an inspiring STEM experience!
The girls dived into interactive sessions exploring different tech careers and reflected on their own skills and future aspirations. Highlights included:
✨ Exploring the metaverse and interacting with dinosaurs using VR headsets
✨ Using eye-tracking tech to shop in a virtual store
✨ Learning about algorithms, encryption, and the magic behind tech innovations
City Year Mentor Ellie shared, “The girls were truly inspired by the exciting world of tech careers and engaged brilliantly in all the interactive activities“.
A huge thank you to Mastercard and their amazing volunteers for making this day possible, and to our dedicated City Year mentors who brought the girls along. Together, we’re empowering the next generation of tech leaders! 💡👩💻
