DHL UK Foundation
DHL UK Foundation work to ensure that disadvantaged young people have access to the best possible education, develop essential life skills and the opportunity to secure meaningful and sustainable employment.
A supporter of City Year UK since 2016, working with us in London, Greater Manchester and the West Midlands, the partnership is built on a shared belief in the power of young people, the importance of access to a good education and equal opportunities for all.
DHL colleagues across the UK are supporting our volunteer mentors through a variety of activities, including taking part in our ‘bridge builder’ mentoring programme, helping to deliver mock interview days and professional skills workshops, and through our ‘learning from leaders’ sessions, where our young people get to hear from inspirational leaders from a variety of fields. All of these opportunities will help our volunteers successfully secure employment or progress to higher education after their year of service.
The support from DHL UK Foundation is greatly appreciated by City Year UK and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership together.
We continue to be inspired and impressed with City Year – not only with how the volunteers transform into young leaders, but also with the impact they make in schools. I am really excited to see how colleagues from DHL can continue to support City Year young people to be future leaders.
