Bank of America

Bank of America (BofA) supports City Year internationally, across the US, South Africa and has invested in City Year UK’s impact since 2014. During this time, they have been a Team Supporter of four London schools, William Ellis school in Camden, Riverside School in Dagenham, Shoreditch Park Primary school in Hackney and this year, George Green’s school in the Isle of Dogs. As part of this partnership, BofA employees help to support the professional development of our volunteer mentors through a variety of activities, including taking part in the ‘bridge builder’ mentoring programme, as well as helping to deliver mock interview days and other bespoke professional development opportunities throughout the course of the academic year.

BofA also works with City Year UK to support on a strategic level and has helped the charity expand its thinking around the career development of our volunteers, inspiring them to be more innovative and entrepreneurial in their approach to ‘life after City Year’. It has recently supported the improvement of our leadership and development training. In addition, we are incredibly grateful that we have received extra support this year, as part of their COVID-19 Response Fund to help us to continue our support for pupils who need help most.

We’re proud to be a Team Supporter and help develop pathways to economic mobility through our partnership with George Green’s School. We look forward to helping City Year to develop, innovate new ideas and working together to support young people in their journey from education to employment.
