Vertex Global Week of Service 2025

Vertex Global Week of Service 2025 – powered by City Year’s Care Force and over 70 dedicated #VertexVolunteers from Vertex Pharmaceuticals!

This September, we came together to support young people in the Islington community through three meaningful service projects:

• Virtual activity – assembling pencil pouches for over 120 students at our partner school, City of London Academy Islington (COLAI)
• Oxford & London events – building and painting outdoor benches, classroom storage units, and organising carts for the school
• Community revitalization – helping to restore the rooftop garden and playground at @rosebowl_hub, a youth centre providing vital support and opportunities for local young people

These efforts directly benefited both COLAI students and the wider Islington community, showing the power of service, collaboration, and purpose-driven work.
